We believe that the Bible is the inerrant and inspired word of God, and it is of infallible divine authority with all sufficiency for life and godliness. We hold to the Baptist Faith & Message, the Nashville Statement on Biblical Sexuality, and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
 Shepherd the flock of God among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not with greed but with eagerness; 3 nor yet as domineering over those assigned to your care, but by proving to be examples to the flock.
I Peter 5:2-3
In October of 2023, Lewis joined our staff at HBC. Prior to joining, he previously served other churches in the city of Edinburgh. His wife, Susie, and two children are excited to call Harestanes "home."
David has served as pastor of Harestanes Baptist Church for more than twenty years, providing faithful leadership and care to his congregation. Before coming to Harestanes, he pastored in Dunoon and in Largo, Fife. He lives with his little dog, Sam, and enjoys their morning walks together. A loyal supporter of Livingston Football Club, David balances his passion for the game with his enduring commitment to faith and fellowship.
Ron enjoyed a long and dedicated career in the police. Married to Ann, he is blessed with many children and grandchildren who bring great joy to his life. A proud supporter of Partick Thistle Football Club, he is known for his friendly smile and for personally welcoming everyone who comes through the church doors each Sunday morning.
Our deacons faithfully serve the local body caring for the needs of our congregation. Please let us know how we can help you.
Church membership is a beautiful commitment within our local body to use our gifts to build up and encourage one another in faithful service, and to be ministered to in our times of suffering. Members joyfully agree to:
1. to attend public worship regularly, including the Ordinance of the Lord's Supper, which will be observed by the Church at least once a month on the Lord's Day;
2. to contribute systematically to the Church's finances as the Lord has prospered them;
3. to use their gifts in the service of Christ and His Church;
4. to maintain the spirit of Christian love and unity;
5. to show evidence of their Christian character in all things;
6. to share in the fulfilment of the Lord's Commission in Matthew 28:19-20.
